Tuesday, June 29th:

As part of our effort to promote interest in the exciting baseball that is being played this year, MCBL will be testing new technology that permits us to broadcast a play-by-play account of an MCBL baseball game. 

Assuming that the field dries out from yesterday's rain, MCBL plans to broadcast this evening's game with the Gaithersburg Giants visiting the Yankee Rebels.  First pitch is scheduled for 5:45 pm at the Community College of Baltimore County baseball field in Catonsville.

Fans will be able to listen to the broadcast (provided by  volunteers) over the internet for free.  Alternatively, if you're not near a terminal, you can still listen to the action via a telephone for a $5 fee.

All you need to do is click on the link below and select the logo for either the Giants ( " G " ) or the Rebels ( " YR " ).

Depending upon the feedback received, MCBL may broadcast other games this year, including the 2010 MCBL All-Star game on July 11th.
