More Accolades and Honors
Thursday, July 15th:
And the accolades and honors keep coming in for MCBL teams and players. . . . . . . .
Over the recent Fourth of July weekend, the Western Howard County Renegades enjoyed huge success at the renowned Beast of the East tournament in West Virginia. A large field of 42 teams were entered in this prestigious tournament and none were better than the entry from Western Howard County.
The Renegades blitzed through the entire field and posted a perfect 9-0 record enroute to becoming tournament champions, beating the Maryland Monarchs in the final championship game.
Earlier this year, Kylin Sims of the Putty Hill Panthers Blue was named the Dundalk Community College’s Male Athlete of the Year (covering all sports). Kylin was also named a 2010 MCBL All-Star.
Also earlier this year, Gatorade named Travis Clark of Columbia’s Hammond High School (now playing with the WHC Renegades), the Maryland High School Player of the Year.
Congratulations to the Renegades and both players!!!!
