Player Eligibility
DON’T LEAVE THIS UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE – IF YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR WAIVERS FOR ANY OF YOUR PLAYERS GET IT DONE NOW OR YOU WILL RUN THE RISK OF THEM SITTING OUT OR WORSE, YOU MAY FORFEIT A GAME IF YOU PLAY AN INELIGIBLE PLAYER!
Eligibility Rules
Rules to be aware of regarding player eligibility:
7-G-4 A--insure players are enrolled in courses that offer 3.0 units of credit.
7-G-4 H-- review first semester grade cards to insure scholastic eligibility for the second semester and playoffs. Scholastic eligibility may be appealed. The appeal should be based on issue such as illness, injury or other like issue. The Rules Committee will review each appeal and make the final decision.
7-G-5--Graduation Credits Completed--these situations must be forwarded to the Rules Committee for their verification.
7-G-12 C --Eligibility challenges handled by the Disciplinary Committee the last 20 days of the season
7-G-16 -- Exceptions considered will be those events out of control of the player--such as illness, injury. The exception must include information regarding the start date of non-play, reason for non-play, number of games missed, number of games played outside of non-play time frame (reasons for not playing games, if there are any). Documentation should include verification from doctors, hospitals, clinics, etc.
2-JV-2-after 10 Varsity games an elite player is no longer JV eligible
2-JV-3-after 30 points (Varsity and JV) a swing player is no longer JV eligible
2-JV-5- please see 7-G-16 for exception consideration
