Developmental Point-Out Rules
5. MSDEV Accumulative Point Eligibility – Any MSCHA or MSCHA Development player with cumulative points totaling 30 in one season or 45 in two seasons will be ineligible to play or continue to play in the MSCHA Development League. This rule will include points accrued in the previous MSCHA season. (This is a total of points in the MSCHA League and MSCHA Development League) Once a player points out, the player forfeits all future MSCHA Development League eligibility.
Note: Point system will not apply to seventh and eighth graders.
It is the clubs responsibility to track their player’s point totals. The player points out after the game he or she reaches 30 total points in a season or 45 total points over 2 seasons.
Teams who play a game or games with ineligible players will forfeit all games played with the ineligible player(s). Goals scored by the ineligible player and goals scored that the ineligible player assisted in will be removed from the score sheet. All other statistics earned by eligible players will stand for the games such as games played, goals, assists and penalties.
Consideration on where to place teams who have played games with ineligible players in the play offs will be made by the Developmental league officials.
