The Countdown Begins

First there were 6 and now we're down to 4 remaining teams in the 2011 MCBL Postseason Tournament.

The Columbia Reds earned thier first ever MCBL playoff victory by beating the Baltimore Chop 5-1.   The Chop had taken the league by storm in their inaugural year with a second place finish.  However, they found that the postseason is a different matter.

In the nightcap the Putty Hill Panthers Blue outlasted the spirited Maryland Black Barons 10-9.   The 2010 defending champion Blue will now take on the Columbia Reds at 8:30 pm tonight at Bachman Park.  After this game, the tournament will be down to 3 teams left.

Just prior to the Blue and the Reds, the tournament tough Maryland Orioles will visit the regular season champion Gaithersburg Giants at 6:00 pm at Bachman Park.  
 
Don't forget to bring a bottle of water along with your seat cushion to enjoy both battles!
