We have been able to secure Joe Cannon Stadium (JCS) for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.  Therefore, the 2011 MCBL Postseason Tournament will continue.

On Friday, July 22nd, the Orioles will visit the Giants at 7:15 pm at JCS.   The Blue will visit the Reds immediately (after 15-20 minutes of field grooming) after the first game (e.g., approximatley 9:30 pm.)

On Saturday, July 23rd, the winner of the Blue/Reds game will visit the loser of the Oriole/Giants game at 7:15 pm at JCS.  The winner of this game will immediately visit the winner of Friday's Orioles/Giants game in the championship game. 

If necessary, there will be a second championship game on Sunday, July 24th at 7:30 pm at JCS.

We recognize that we are experiencing a heat wave and we want players to remain safe.  We believe that by starting games later in the day, that no player will be endangered if they keep hydrated.  There were several college lacrosse games played last night with no problems encountered. 

Everyone should remember that participation in this tournament is voluntary, not mandatory.  Any player or parent of player who is concerned about playing in this weekend's weather should refrain from playing.

Any player who chooses to play is doing so of their own free will and with full recognition of the risks associated with playing baseball in these weather conditions.

If anyone has a large fan they should bring them as there are electrical outlets near the dugouts of JCS where the fans could be plugged in.  All spectator seating at JCS is under cover.

Having said that, we look forward to an exciting conclusion of the 2011 MCBL Postseason Tournament.
