EH & DH ARE ALLOWED IN ALL H5AB TOURNAMENTS. COACHES MAY BAT ENTIRE LINEUP IF YOU SO CHOOSE (exchange line-up with opposing Coach) BUT NO ALTERATIONS TO THE BATTING LINEUP WILL BE PERMITTED. (NOTE: If you are batting 9 you must also exchange line ups with opposing Coach). Teams batting entire roster will run for their catcher or pitcher with the LAST OUT ONLY! Teams batting 9 may run for pitcher & catcher with last out or legal substitution provided you have the players to do so. <High school burn rules apply.

LINE-UPS MUST INCLUDE; PLAYER NAME, UNIFORM NUMBER, NO EXCEPTIONS!

FREE DEFENSIVE SUBSTITUTIONS. DEFENSIVE SUBSTITUTIONS DO NOT INCLUDE BASE RUNNERS!!

BATTING 9 - If a player is removed by ejection you must insert available player in said players position. If you don't have a player available it will be scored as an OUT at player's position in batting order each time the batting order reaches player's position.

HOME TEAM IS REQUIRED TO KEEP BOOK ON GAME AND MAKE AVAILABLE TO UMPIRE STAFF AT THE REQUEST OF THE HOME PLATE UMPIRE

ALL UMPIRES DECISIONS ARE FINAL. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS EXPECTED FROM ALL PARTICIPANTS.

TIE GAMES ON SATURDAYS WILL BE FINAL. 

TIE GAMES ON SUNDAYS WILL BE SUBJECT TO CALIFORNIA/INTERNATIONAL EXTRA INNINGS SPEED UP RULES. 
(1) Coach selects where they wish to begin batting order in the tiebreaker inning with prior two batting order slots occupying 1st & 2nd.....(2) with no outs.

RUN RULE IS 15 AFTER 3, 10 AFTER 4, & 8 AFTER 5.

TEAMS MUST ASSIST IN RECOVERY OF FOUL BALL.

H5AB WILL PROVIDE (2) NEW BASEBALLS PER GAME. EACH TEAM WILL PROVIDE (2) NEW, OR LIGHTLY USED, GAME LEGAL, PRACTICE, OR GAME BALLS PER GAME.

TEAMS MUST PICK UP ALL TRASH IN DUGOUT AND PLACE IN PROPER RECEPTACLE.

ATTN: COACHES, READ THIS> THIS IS A 16U & 18U TOURNAMENT! YOUR PLAYER(S) MUST BE EITHER; 16 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER AT TIME OF TOURNAMENT, TO PLAY IN THE 16U BRACKET. YOUR PLAYER MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER AT TIME OF TOURNAMENT TO PLAY IN THE 18U BRACKET! IF A PROTEST OCCURS YOU MUST SHOW PRROOF OF AGE OF PLAYER IN QUESTION. A TEAM USING AN INELIGIBLE PLAYER(S) IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION AND WILL ALSO FORFEIT ALL TOURNAMENT FEES. PLAYER(S) MUST BE IN HIGH SCHOOL(MIN AGE 15YRS). TO COMPETE IN H5AB TOURNAMENTS UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY H5AB. TOURNAMENTS DESCRIBED AS 'MIXED" MAY HAVE PLAYERS FROM 15 TO 18 YRS OF AGE ON ROSTER.

ABSOLUTELY NO SOLICITING > THERE WILL BE NO SOLICITING ALLOWED AT ANY FIELD DURING THE H5AB TOURNAMENTS UNLESS APPROVED BY H5AB. UNAUTHORIZED SOLICITING, VENDING, WILL BE CONSIDERED CRIMINAL TRESPASS AND SOLICITOR, VENDOR, WILL BE TURNED OVER TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES.

Our goal in the H5AB tournaments is to provide High Quality tournament competition at an affordable price. To provide these tournaments locally to eliminate the expense of constant travel.

RAIN-OUT: If a field is rained out, the bracket playing at subject field will be officially rained out. This will be the decision of the Umpire Crew, Field Owner, and Tournament Director. If your team has started less than 3 games a refund or credit for game(s) not started will be issued. Please keep in mind that we cannot control rainouts. We will do everything possible to make facilities ready but we WILL NOT risk injury to a player or property damage to a field.

 

LIGHTNING DETECTION & DELAY: Public school facilities are equipped with early lightning detection systems. Coaches and Administrators must adhere to all district policies which requires the evacuation of the field of play and a specified delay determined by the district or the installed equipment when these systems detect lightning in the area. Please do not harras school officials for adhering to their district's safety policies. Timed games can be called due to lightning the same way they are called for any other in climate weather issue.
