Goaltender Dylan Arnold was perfect as the Express shut out the Stonewall Jets 5-0 Friday night at Ed Golding (East End) Arena. A great shift by the line of Kyle Lamont, Michael Laden and Noah Nardella was rewarded with Lamont (1) getting his first of the year and Laden and Nardella picking up the helpers. The first intermission saw the Express up 1-0. The second the Express came out firing on all cylinders and scoring 3 times. Jeremy Chateauneuf(1) scored his first career MMJHL goal with Mattie Boonstra picking up the helper. Evan Chudley(4) scored on the powerplay with Captain Devon Matsumoto and Conrad Solypa providing the helpers. Conner Grunston(4) closed the off the scoring at the end of the 2nd with Nardella and Laden credited with the assists. Express went to the 2nd intermission with a comfortable 4-0 lead. The 3rd saw Dylan Arnold (3-0) shut the door to pick up his first shutout off the season and the Express's 2nd in a row and Grunston(4) banging in his 4th of the year, to close out the scoring, with Liam McCullough and Boonstra chipping in with assists.
