2013 WIFFLEBALL SEASON

Mid Season Recap

The Angels look the team to beat led by Chris Harley and Shane Effertz. Coming off a sweep of the Blue Jays they have a commanding lead and are the favorites. The Biscuits, Bandits, and Cocks look like a three way battle to the end for the final 2 playoff spots. The cocks have the advantage in pitchng with Dearing, Collins, and Skidmore. The Biscuits appear to be the complete team.

Mid Season Perdiction: Blue Jays over Angels, as good as the Angels look, until someone can beat Michael Harley and Danny Toledo in the playoffs, they have to be the favorite.

MVP Race, the Angels duel threat Shane Effertz who can dominate any game and Blue Jays JJ Crumbley who held the Blue Jays together while Harley was out are in the race. 2 Time Defending MVP Chris Harley is off to another great start leading the league in hitting, the Bandits Adam Petrizzo and Derek Linderman co leaders in HR and RBI and only 2 of 3 players to hit in every game, (Chris Harley is 3rd) have the Bandits in playoff contention despite their pitching problems, Michael Harley started the year on fire, and had he not missed all or parts of 3 weeks, he may be re writting some record books already.

Mid Season MVP Bill Murphy, he has the Biscuits in 3rd place and is tied for the league lead in HR's and is hitting the ball great.

CY Young race, this is currently a 4 person race, with Shane Effertz, arguably the best lefty in all of the National Wiffle ball association, JJ Crumbley who has been brilliant in his 2nd season and is tied for the league lead in wins, Michael Harley, the only player to ever win the award in the TBW, who has 3 no hitters on the season.

Mid Season Award, Chris Harley, this has been Harley's year on the mound, posting a 6-0 record and leading the league in wins.

Rookie of the Year, this appears to be a 4 person race, Biscuits Matt Markowski has proven it with the bat and on the mound, but has been set back by an injury, now back he looks to continue his great rookie year, Angels Christian Labrie, has provided the Angels with another bat, he is in the top 10 in hitting. Blue Jays Kyle Wiser would be the official league leader in batting if he qualified, the guy just crushes the ball, if he shows up more he may run away with the award.

Mid Season ROY, Ball Busters Tony Gonzalez, he has been the Ball Busters through the 1st half, collecting 2 wins and hitting 5 HR. While the new franchis has struggled in the TBW, Gonzalez has not
