Former Thomas Dale Player Anthony Prevost
HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton University freshman kicker Anthony Prevost was named a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Honorable Mention All-American by the Beyond Sports Network on Thursday.
Prevost (Chesterfield, Va.) was a First Team All-MEAC selection after leading the conference this past season in field goals, converting on 17 of his 19 attempts. His season-long kick of 43 yards came at South Carolina State on Sept. 28, and he added a 42-yard field goal against North Carolina Central on Nov. 9.
He was also tied for second in the MEAC in scoring among kickers, accounting for 76 points during the season. Prevost made a season-best three field goals against Delaware State on Oct. 26.
Prevost also had 47 kickoffs on the season, recording nine touchbacks.
The 2013 BSN All-America Team was chosen by college sports information directors, college coaches, media, and BSN staff. Each college was given the opportunity to submit votes by their sports information director and one football coach.
