The Dulles Vikings eliminated the defending State Champions, Cy ranch Mustangs on Friday afternoon in Katy. The Mustangs Dalton Stark hit 2-HR and Derek Dickerson hit 1-HR along with doubles by Martin, Spears, and Brosch. But the Vikings countered with 2-HR from Caden Williams, and 1-HR from Dakota Mills. Mills also drilled an RBI/2B. Caden Williams got the start but didn't figure in the decision as the Vikings coughed up a 3-run lead in the top of the 7th. The game headed to the bottom of the 7th deadlocked at 5 when Williams & Hernandez both drew 2-out walks and Jaylen Hubbard smacked an RBI-1B driving home Williams and winning the game, and series for Dulles. The Vikings return to the Region Finals for the first time since 1989 when they won it all. Dulles will face the winner of the Pearland-Jersey Village series in the Region-III Finals nest week.

 

 

 

PEARLAND 10 JERSEY VILLAGE 0

 

 

 

 

Blake Goins, Trey Smith, & Andreus Faltesek, combined for a 5-inning, run-rule, no hitter as the Oilers rolled over the Falcons 10-0 on Friday. Pearland's Connor Wong was 3-3 with a double, 2-RBI, & 2-Runs; Nathan Carter had a double and drove in 3, while Jacob Barfield had a double driving in 2. The series now deadlocked at 1-1 resumes Saturday at Jersey Village with the 1st pitch scheduled for 2 pm.

 

 

THE WOODLANDS 8 PLANO WEST 1

 

 

 

Ryan Burnett racked up another complete game win on Friday spinning 7-innings, 2-hits, 1-run, 3BB, and 8-strike outs. The Highlanders flexed their muscle at the plate piling up 8-runs on 8-hits with RBI doubles by Chris Andritsos, Josh Shaw, and Josh Pruit. Plano West lone runs was scored on a Solo-HR by Mason Gentry. The series resumes Saturday in Georgetown with the first pitch scheduled for 2 pm.

 

 

ROCKWALL 13 KLEIN COLLINS 2

 

 

 

Rockwall piled up 13-runs on 13-hits on Friday to dismantle the Tigers in the 5-inning run-rule. Rockwall's Carson Childers was 4-4 with 2-doubles, and 5-RBI. The series resumes Saturday in Mumford at 1 pm.

 

 

FOSTER 7 BARBERS HILL 3

 

 

 

The Falcons Gabe Wise spun the 2nd complete game for the Foster pitching staff in as many days claiming the 7-3 victory. Sophomore Riley Hood smacked 2-HR and Lucas DuVal hit 1-HR while collecting a double and driving in 4. Foster adances to the Region Finals for the first time in school history where they will play the Tomball Cougars.

 

 

 

 

TOMBALL 16 MONTGOMERY 4

 

 

After a dramatic walk-off win on Thursday night the Tomball bats exploded for 16 runs on Friday night as the eliminated the Montgomery Bears in a 2-game sweep. Nick Banks smacked a home run and drove in 4 while scoring 3. Dillon Menville collected 2-hits and drove in 3 while scoring 1. Casey Smith collected 2-hits, 2-RBI, and 2-runs in the game. Eric Dunbar spun 5-innings and struck out 9. Tomball now faces Foster in the 4A-REG-III Finals.
