MORRISTOWN – The Morristown High School football team needed a late spark to down Mendham on the road Friday night.
After a 21-0 advantage at one point, the Colonials saw themselves behind 29-28 following a ferocious second-half rally from the Minutemen.
“I’m so happy for the boys,” said Morristown head coach John Power. “They did a great job. To Mendham’s credit, they fought back from a large deficit and showed a lot of grit as well. It’s very difficult to win. We had a great first half. We stumbled but the resiliency and the ability to come back from setbacks was fantastic. We faced adversity down 29-28 and the offense was able to drive the football.”
