2016 NWLA Regional
The 2016 TBW team was going to be different missing were 3 players, Mike Harley (wedding), Shane Effertz (retirement) and Adam Petrizzo (Injury). So the theme was the rookies for the NY Regional, Troy Linderman, Alex Clark, and Dan French all joined the team as both NWLA and TBW rookies. The plan was to get them experience, veteran Chris Harley even missed game 1.
TBW sent young veteran Derek Linderman to the mound in game 1 vs Micfenway to ease the new guys in, TBW came out swinging and cruised to a 15-4 win.
Game 2 vs Greater Auburn was the pitching debut of Alex Clark, things didn't go well and he had control issues, like most rookies, GA put up 7 on 1 hit, but it was enough for a 7-3 win, the veterns asured the young guys it was fine, we came to get them experience not win as we did ther year before.
Next Troy Linderman made his mound debut and as he called on twitter he threw a no hitter in his debut (4 innings) vs PWL. Lastly Dan French made his debut against OCWA, in a high scoring game, OCWA won on a walk off Bush HR. French learned a lot from this game and that experience will be huge in Ohio.
We didn't learn much in New York on the field., a 3-2 record,
Troy Linderman can pitch,
Ryan Bush still kills us
Greater Auburn is a very good team
Dont get your nuts stuck in a fence
While Harley and Rizzo look to join the new guys in 2017 in Ohio, Shane Effertz is still celebrating his fantasy football championship in retirement but we have a year to persuade him.
