Playoff Seeds/Spots Still Up for Grabs
Wednesday, July 13, 2016
With four games to go, there is still a lot of uncertainty with respect to the playoffs.
KOA (by virtue of a tiebreaker) will be the # 1 seed and the Baltimore Chop will be the # 2 seed.
Beyond that.....things get murky. If the weather cooperates and we get in the final four games over the next 2 nights........some movement in the standings could occur.
For example, if BCC wins it's last two games, they would tie the Diamond Pros with 18 victories. BCC would be the # 3 seed (by virtue of a tiebreaker) and the Diamond Pros would be the # 4 seed.
If BCC only wins one game, and Putty Hill wins their last game, we could have a 3 way tie with them and the Baltimore Rays each with 17 victories.
Another 3 way tie could occur if Dig In wins their last two games and BCC and Putty Hill lose their last games. Bob Uecker has volunteered come out of retirement to wrestle with the tiebreakers for both of these potential three way tie scenarios.
We could go on..........but suffice to say......it's been a very competitive and balanced league this year. The excitement will continue perhaps to the last pitch of the last inning of the last game.
See ya at the ball field!
