The Rays are Hot!!!
The Rays have been hot this past week.......and we're not just talking about the sun!! The Baltimore Rays are making a big push towards a playoff berth as they have won 6 in a row......the 11th longest win streak ever in the MCBL.
The Baltimore Chop is right on their heels having won 3 in a row.
Dig In, KOA and BCC are also finishing strong having won 4 out of their last 6 games.
There is only 15 games left over the last 5 days of the regular season. Who will step up to the challenge? Will we need a tiebreaker to determine the playoff berths? Only time will tell.
I thought this might be a good time to post this!!
- For the 2017 season, the following six teams will be eligible for the tournament:
- Each division’s first place team
- Each division’s second place team
- The next 2 teams with the best record (regardless of division)
- Seedings for the tournament will also be based upon wins. Games that end up
tied at the end of the season do not receive credit for ½ a win.
The division winner with the most number of regular season wins will be seeded #1. The other division winner will be seeded #2. All of the other four teams will be seeded as normal based upon the number of their wins.
For 2017, the cutoff date/time for determining team eligibility and seedings will be 11:59 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017.
- Should two or more teams be tied at cut-off date/time, the following will be applied (starting with “ 1.”) until the higher seeded team is identified:
1. Head-to-head winning percentage
2. Most wins against teams that are higher seeded then the team(s) in
question.
3. Fewest runs allowed head-to-head
4. Coin toss (to be conducted by the MCBL Commissioner)
