The San Jacinto Gators are ranked preseason, #1 in the just-released Perfect Game USA, JUCO Top 25. They will be tested early facing 4 Nationally Ranked squads in their host tournament (2018 Tournament of Champions) which kicks off on Friday, February 9, and runs through the weekend, Sunday, February 11.

The #1 Gators open the tournament vs. #2 Chipola, Friday, February 9, at the University of Houston 6 PM. They follow that up with a Saturday contest vs. #8 Northwest Florida State, @ John Ray Harrison Field at Andy Pettitte Park 3 PM. Sunday features two Top 25 contests for the Gators where they will face off with #9 Howard College at the University of Houston 9 AM, and they finish the tournament vs.#24 Weatherford College at Sam Houston State 6 PM. 

For the Gators, the 2018 season has already started with a bang as they received word that long-time legendary head Coach Tom Arrington will be inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame in May. Arrington, heading into his 18th season as skipper at San Jacinto has guided squads to the JUCO World Series 10 times reaching the National Championship game five times.
