The Rockville Express bounced back in game two of a doubleheader yesterday, dominating in an 11-1 win.
In a tight game 1, the Clippers got ahead 4-0 early, and the bats started cold until Ty Hames doubled in a run in the 5th. The Express added another run in the 6th, and a Nelson Grajales home run cut the deficit to 1. Despite having the tying and winning runs on base, the Express couldn't complete the comeback, and dropped game 1 by a score of 4-3.

Game 2 was another story, as Rockville exploded for 11 runs in 4 innings. 7 came across in a long first inning, where timely hits from Patrick Colbert and Easton Metral combined with a series of walks led to the Express jumping ahead. The Express were also anchored on the mound by Mason Walter. The hurler was named player of the game getting the win in 4 innings, allowng 0 runs, 1 hit, and 1 walk, while striking out 4.

Walter said in an interview after the game that his slider was working well. He also said that games like this would be important for their playoff push: "To have this momentum going into the playoffs is huge for us as a team." He said.
The Express have a busy week ahead, starting with home games against the Dusters today and tommorow.
