Is the Season Slip-sliding Away?

As we enter the final week of the regular (and very soggy) season, it's interesting to note that 3/4 of the league mathmatically could still win the MCBL regular season championship.

 

To have a chance, several things would have to fall into place:

     -  We actually get to play all of the remaining    

         scheduled games;

     -  One of the teams would have to get "hot"

     -  The current league leading Baltimore Chop would

         have to stumble a bit.

 

So....what are the chances?

 

Well........it has rained.....a LOT this season.   And rain is in the forecast for much of the coming week.

 

Teams have suddenly become hot.   For example, the Rockville Express and Baltimore Clippers are currently surging.

 

The Baltimore Chop could stumble......especially if their league leading low ERA pitching staff suddenly develops a sore arm or two.

 

Since it's all still possible, the question remains :

will the season end in an uproar or a downpour?
