The Express have caught fire at the perfect time. The team once again won facing elimination last night, with third baseman Brody Lindsey playing the hero.
In the bottom of the 5th, with the Express down 3-2, Lindsey hit a 2 out, 3 run home run. Lindsey, who managed to go 3-4 on the day, had a rather simple approach to help him achieve his heroics: "Hunt a fastball" he said "He was having trouble locating the offspeed."
Lindsey wasn't the only one hitting the ball well, as Will Gisrael and Cole Carter each hit doubles, and Carter along with Nelson Grajales and Bronson Taylor contributed RBI's.
On the mound, starter Tyler Haupt struck out 8 over 4 innings, and Nate Bishop and Grant Labelle turned in scoreless relief efforts. Labelle earned a 3 inning save, as the Express took this one 6-3.
Rockville looks to continue this run tonight against the Chop at 6:30 PM.
