Spring Hockey update: If you remove the seniors from our club list, we have received 20 responses from a list of 36 needed. Until we hear from all, no determination can be made. Please reply to my previous email from Sat, 2/28, (Subject: Eureka Hockey - Spring Hockey, response requested), thanks.
A word on Thompson playoffs: According to the Thompson website, schedules are considered final as of Noon today...ya, right. Looks like there is a final league game for two teams in the C team division being played on Tuesday. The JV division appears to be set. Both are single elimination. Lots of information on his website. Please familiarize yourself with playoff rules that are posted as well. EOS = End of Season.
Varsity News: See details on the website regarding Division Winner Awards at the Scottrade Center.
C team league record 12-5-3, tied for 6th with 27 points.
JV league record, 16-4-0, with one loss by forfeit, good for 3rd place, one point out of 1st.

Varsity News: No practice on Wednesday.
JV / C team News: As we descend on the final few games with the JV and C teams, it is imperative that players make themselves available for these final practices and games in preparation for the playoffs. Because of a few issues with Thompson's scheduling and a really bad officiated game, it looks like we (JV) will end up in fourth place, and we are OK with that. Now we know what we have to do in the playoffs to take the Championship. One game at a time, take teams down. There is no team in this league that we can't take, and trust me, no one wants to draw Eureka for their opposition. We will play with confidence and resolve...control and execution.
Practice for Tuesday the 24th: We Need everyone listed below at practice and for the rest of the Tuesday sessions, ONLY THESE PLAYERS: Arsenault, Baner, Blank, Carlson, Fontana, Gardner, Green, Hoffman, Janssen, Jones, Koellner, Link, McBride, Reichle, Reineri, Robinson, Sample, Sutter, Weinrich, Zagarri.

Trivia Night was a big success. Thanks for all your help and participation. We couldn't have done it without you. We will forward totals after we receive the last couple of expenses.
Varsity News: Playoffs begin this Friday and Saturday vs. Lutheran South. We have received 16 report cards, missing 10. Please get this information to Kris ASAP.
JV News: You will be updated accordingly by email if something changes. Right now, we have made the decision to forfeit, if Thompson won't reschedule, the games this coming Friday and Saturday. We don't have enough rostered players to field a team due to the Varsity playoff game. We should still finish in the top half of the league and will settle our score in the playoffs. Again, if something changes, we will let you know.
C team News: Thompson never returned an answer about the POSSIBLE game on Wed, 2/4. Keep your schedule open as you emailed me, thanks. We will confirm if this is going to happen.

Forcasts call for a significant winter storm in Missouri today and tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, the biggest concern is the potential for significant ice accumulation in Southern Missouri. Ice accumulations of 1" or greater are possible south of a line from Springfield to Fredricktown. The largest accumulations are expected close to the Arkansas border and in the Missouri Bootheel. If traveling in this area, beware of downed powerlines and do not park or walk beneath icy trees.
Along the I-44 corridor several inches of sleet are predicted. North of I-44, along the I-70 corridor and north of I-70 several inches of snow are expected, with up to 6" or more in some areas including the St. Louis area.
Far northern and northwest Missouri will probably see some snow, in the range of 1" to 3".
This storm will start as early as this afternoon and continue through tomorrow morning. Another small storm is expected Tuesday during the day.
MoDOT's Traveler Information Map is available online at www.modot.org. You can also call toll-free 1-888-ASK MODOT (275-6636) for current road conditions.
