Trivia Night (see attached): Updates are constantly posted to the website under the "Fundraising" section of our Team News, as well as, in the main page text area of the home page.
Three important items:
1- We need your silent auction item (approx. $20 value) by January 25th to Jen or Shalene or Sharon. We will need some time to assemble the baskets.
2- There are only 6 tables remaining. We hope it doesn't come to this, but your paid table of $160 guarantees your spot. We will advise everyone if we over-book.
3- There is a work schedule posted on the website that we need to fill. Look under "Trivia - Work Details." Email your availability to Shalenelink@fandctrucks.com.
There will be a separate trivia email sent to the club on Wednesday or Thursday this week.
Varsity News: This Friday's practice will be from 3:40 pm until 5:50 pm. Big game on Saturday vs. Seckman. Coach Fike has invited all JV players to attend.

TRIVIA NIGHT: January 31, 2009. This event usually fills up with all the parents' help by securing a table with neighbors, friends, relatives, etc. Always a fun-filled evening and a good time is had by all.
Trivia Night updates to be posted on the Eureka Hockey Website Home Page in the News section (just below the main text area AND in the "News tab") under "Fundraising." We have included table commitments, items received, items needed, etc. Email updates will be provided throughout the month.
Trivia Night Flyer and Sponsor Letter (which are links to documents) will continue to be available under "Fundraising tab," which can still be found at the top of the Home Page.
For now, try to fill a table and send in your registration/money by completing the bottom section of the "Trivia Flyer 2008-09." It would be great if you could send in full payment for the table and then collect from each of your table participants. Return information on the flyer.
Please begin to give some thought for an auction item.
Information sheet is attached again detailing contact information, family/player responsibilities, volunteer opportunities, etc.
JV News: Joe Thompson has assured me that he will re-schedule our game that is currently on Trivia Night. I can't make any promises for the game schedule on Super Bowl Sunday, so plan on playing. Remaining schedule is posted on the Thompson website. It will not be on our website until I hear that our 1/31 game has been changed. Yes, we will get 20 games.

Eureka High Student “Rocks Out”
on New MTV Reality Show
St. Louis, Dec. 30, 2008 – Rebekah Roy, a 15-year-old sophomore at Eureka High School , will appear on MTV’s new True Life documentary series, Camp’d Out: I’m going to Rock Camp, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Rebekah was one of four kids selected from across the U.S. to debut on the new show featuring her attending “ Camp Jam ” at Lake Forest Academy in Chicago , Illinois over the summer. “ Camp Jam ” is considered to be the ultimate Rock ‘n Roll camp for musicians and singers ages 11-17. While Rebekah attended the week long camp July 12-18, she wrote songs, made music videos and performed at a popular hot spot.
“This is Rebekah’s dream, a chance of a lifetime to allow her talent to shine and be seen by millions. We truly hope that she will be seen for the exceptional person she is, and the awesome talent that she possesses,” says Cindy Roy, Rebekah’s mother.
Rebekah went to “ Camp Jam ” to help widen her genre of music. She sings and performs Country and Pop music, but wanted to try her hand at Rock and Roll.

JV News: I noticed a couple games added to our Thompson schedule on 1/31 & 2/1. As you may realize, this is a major conflict with Trivia Night and Super Bowl. I would hope that he would honor our request to change these dates.

C Team News: In case you have/have not noticed, it looks like Thompson has changed more games in the near future. Received an email from them yesterday, From: Joe Thompson; Sent: Sunday, December 21, 2008, 12:45 PM; Subject: games. "please check the schedule for next week 12/26 thru 1/2 as there have some changes. if you have any questions call me 314 517 8431 thanks joe thompson"
Here is what I can tell you, the Thompson website will change again from how you see it, at the time this email was sent.
1. We will NOT have the Tuesday game on 12/30.
2. Looks like we play on Sunday the 28th and NOT Saturday the 27th.
3. New Years Day game has been move to 10:00 AM.
JV News: Same as above, Thompson website will change again.

clubs and we anticipate some conflicts. If you have already sent some
kind of notification to your coach and/or manager, please reply to this

Club Notes: As soon as a game is posted on our website, it is also the
responsibility of the players, with help from the parents, to
communicate by email any conflicts to your respective coaches/managers
(all contacts are on our website.) This applies to Varsity, JV and C
teams. Please, let your coaches and managers know...as soon as you
know.
Practice Jerseys: We know that we had 25 black practice jerseys (the
color used for defensemen) with numbers a couple of years ago, i.e., we
used them for the last two seasons. There seems to be a shortage of
these jerseys. If you would be so kind, please check your closets,
garages, boys' bathroom floor, neighbors, cousins, etc. and return any
extra ones to your coach. For that matter, we would be interested in
recovering any extra practice jerseys you may have in your possession,
thanks.
JV & C team Notes: This is our 4th season with the Thompson League.
Although he is typically late in releasing his schedule, it has never
been like this. We share your frustration. My guess is that it will be
like this for the rest of the season. Yes, there have been changes and
errors on HIS site. As of today, there is another partial schedule
released through most of January. We are constantly monitoring his
website, referee scheduling website, various team websites to give you
the most up to date information on OUR website and weekly emails.
