Club Notes:
1. Hockey Academy begins this week on a rotating schedule at Fenton Ice Rink.
2. Thompson League schedule has been posted for the first 10 games and those games have been entered on OUR website.

Rosters will be posted for each team (Varsity & JV) in their corresponding "News" section, which is located just below the Main Text area. It is the responsibility of the players and the parents to check this site frequently. Not all rostered players will be playing in all games.
As soon as a game is posted on the website, it is also the responsibility of the players, with help from the parents, to communicate any conflicts to your respective coaches/managers. This applies to Varsity, JV and C teams.

First of all, please allow yourself plenty of time to get to St. Peters tonight. On a good day, it is a 40-45 minute trip from Manchester & Old State Rd.
Club Notes: Attached is a copy of the Club's balance sheet for your reference.
Club Notes: One of the line items from the balance sheet refers to Hockey Academy training. The Coaching staff requested this investment from some of our "extra funds." Therefore, we have entered an agreement with them to provide on-ice training, rotating once a week at our regularly scheduled practices at Fenton, beginning 11/19. We will have either Rick Zombo or Sean Ferrell. The schedule will be posted on our website by the end of the day.

If you "click" on a game in the "mini schedule" (the mini schedule is the gold and black section down the left hand side that has the upcoming events listed), you will be directed to a preview screen. From Coach Rob: I wanted to let everyone know about Coach Ryan Payton's condition. Friday night Ryan was injured in an adult league hockey game. He was hit on his side and one of his kidneys was shredded. It is a level 4 injury. I was told level 5 is a full loss of the organ. He will be in the ICU unit at St. Johns at least until Tuesday. His doctors are checking for internal bleeding and they will determine what needs to be done. He is hoping to be back on the ice in about 3 weeks. Until then Steve Campbell and myself will be taking turns running C-Team practice. Please keep Ryan in your thoughts.
SPIRIT WEAR: Final date for order submission to me was yesterday, 10/26. I will note received orders in a separate email.
VARSITY NEWS: Mid-States Club Hockey Association schedule is released. It can be found here,

Spirit Wear order due Oct 26th, forms and details on the website. There will only be one order placed this year and no stock items will be available. If you think you need something for Christmas or larger sizes, now is the only time. Please don't wait. Black fleece looks great for games!

Food: The box lunches were a big hit. The dinner received rave reviews and our committee will strongly consider hiring them again next year. We all agreed that next year we would add snacks to the beverage carts: chips, crackers, cookies, candy bars, etc for distribution by the cart hostesses for tips.
Beer: It would be in our best interest to try and get more beer donated. Start asking beer providers you know NOW for next year so we can get ahead of the curve and help reduce this expense. We also discussed the possibility of placing a cooler on the course at every third tee for further liquid distribution.
Silent Auction: We exceeded our first year expectations. Thanks to all the efforts of the entire committee in soliciting donations and packaging everything for auction.
Skins & Mulligans: We agreed that both these items should remain as $20 additions for each foursome next year and not be included in the price.
Goodie Bags: We agreed to bump the number up to 125 next year so as not to run out.
Hole Sponsorship signage: They looked great for a real good price. We discussed watermarking our Powercat Logo into the signs next year.
Shirts: We ordered 20 this year and discussed the probability of ordering 40 or 50 next year so we can sell some at registration.
Other:
We agreed that no minors will be allowed to play in a foursome next year without a parent or adult.
We agreed to continue with the tradition of a Ladies Flight (9 holes only) with a maximum of four foursomes at next years event.
We ended up with 112 golfers this year.

a. All league fees were due by Sept 30th.
b. If ads were not sold, a $100 buy out is also due (we have some of these, but not too many).
c. Update: Treasurer will get any refunds from the ad book sales out asap (hope to get these in the mail next Saturday afternoon).
d. Update: Treasurer will e-mail directly to those families with outstanding balances after their ad book refund is applied.

Sponsor Book: The original deadline for ad sales was Sept. 30. The deadline was extended to Sunday Oct 5 at the 8:30 practice when team pictures are scheduled. This will be the final deadline, please have all your ads to Dave by then.
Final order for new stockings: Carlson, Gardner, Janssen, Janssen, Jones, Kraus, McBride, Reineri, Sample.
It is important that all players make their assigned practices and let the coaching staff know if you have any conflicts ahead of time. We only have a few practices left before league games start for Mid States and Thompson Leagues. We expect the schedules to be available within 10 days and the first games to start the weekend of Nov. 1st.

EUREKA HOCKEY PICTURES-Eureka Hockey Varsity Team, JV Team, C-Team, and Cheerleaders:
Stephen's Photography will be taking team and individual pictures for all Eureka teams on Sunday, October 5 at 8:30pm at Fenton Ice Rink. This is a regularly scheduled varsity practice time. Please bring both sets of game jerseys and socks. Attached you will find the Hockey Picture Order Form. The players should have their order form with payment enclosed in an envelope and ready to hand in at the time of the photograph. Please make every effort to be there. If you cannot make it, please let your team manager or coach know.
Sponsor Book: The deadline is Sept 30th. Form on the website, "Fundraising" tab.
Game passes: If you have not done so already, please send payment to Jeff. See separate email from Mark R.
