Sponsor Book Update: DUE DATE is September 30, 2012. Things have been progressing rather slowly.
Team Coordinators have been set for all teams. Each person will assist the coaching staff during the games and help coordinate stats and score sheets. Now would be a very good time to enter their contact information on your cell phones, smart phones, PDAs, etc. Posted on the website under "Coaches & Staff" tab.

Lafayette B tournament: Looks like some kind of "hybrid schedule" is still on for this coming weekend. Could be 3 teams; could be 4 teams; could be 5 teams. Sorry for the lack of communication from THEM. Final details promised to me by this evening. I would anticipate a Saturday and a Sunday afternoon game. Please stand by.
Marquette Tournament: Championship will be on Wednesday, 9/26 at 7:30PM at Hardee’s Iceplex. Teams TBA.

Eureka Days Parade: Saturday, September 8, 2012. Float will line-up at 9:00 AM. Players arrive at 9:30 AM. Step-off is 10:00 AM. Lasts about an hour. Candy will be provided by the club and can be HANDED OUT along the parade route (maybe bring a plastic sack.) Players arrive at 9:30 AM. (Parking is on your own, allow extra time.) Dress code will be either black or gold jersey, khaki shorts, tennis shoes. If returning C Team and B Team players would bring BOTH their clean black and their clean gold jersey to loan to our new club members, thank you. New club members, please wear a white T-shirt.

Fundraising Fury: As we go down the home stretch, Chuck will be attending practices this week as a final push for donations. We started out hot, but things have cooled down. Our collection period ends on September 3rd. Have fun! The NFL season is right around the corner.
Sponsor Book Update: Now is the time to start sending in your ads for the Eureka Sponsor Book. Deadline is September 30th to Tracy Kueser with your payment and forms/ads. Checks are made out to Eureka Hockey. If you want to use the same ad as last year, we have the ad copy from last year so please contact Tracy Kueser as soon as possible if you know the ad will be the same. They can start laying out the book based on last years’ ads if they are the same. Details are on the website under "Sponsor Book."

Weekly practices begin today.
This is a very busy hockey time of the year for all of us. Please be patient as information is flowing in every which direction. The board and coaching staff have your best interests in mind as we move forward (around our real jobs.)
Rosters: The roster tab on our website is currently password protected. It is all last year's information anyway. Until all current information for this season is entered, it will remain that way.
Team Meetings: Will be handled on a team by team basis within the first couple weeks of practice. Announcements forthcoming.
B Team Player & Parent Meeting: Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Fenton Forum immediately following practice. Please, at least one parent in attendance.
Eureka Days Parade: Saturday, September 8, 2012 (morning event.) Player attendance is required. Float assembly will be happening in the next couple weeks. Please stand by.

Best wishes to everyone for the first day of school. Take this week off from Eureka Hockey and get a good start on your school year. Go to class, do your homework, catch up with your friends, be a positive example of a student athlete. EUR...EKA.
Rosters: The roster tab on our website is currently password protected. It is all last year's information anyway. Until all current information for this season is entered, it will remain that way. Initial rosters will be communicated in spreadsheet form in the next couple of days.
League Fees Due: First payment is due August 15, 2012, in the amount of $500 for ALL players. Payable to "Eureka Wildcat Hockey" and Mail to Kim Wamboldt, 595 Grandview Circle, Eureka, MO, 63025. The form is available on the website. Please include player last name on the memo line of your check.
Weekly Practices begin next week. Daily assignments will be announced with the rosters.
Eureka Days Parade: Saturday, Sept 8. All players are required to participate. Details to follow.

Hope your week is going well.
As we get toward the end of tryouts, just wanted to let you know that the coaches will take a few days afterwards to wrap things up and take a look at roster decisions. We will do our best to find everyone a place or two to play.
If you are age appropriate to play on 2 (TWO) teams for Eureka, we will likely roster you that way. We reserve the right for team placement. If you prefer to play on only 1 (ONE) Eureka team, please reply to this email by Friday, 5:00 PM, and let me know accordingly.
Practice for all teams begin the week of August 20th. Assignments to be determined.
Reminder, BBQ for players and families at Webster Grove rink beginning around 8:00PM on Friday. WE will have food and drink available on the south side of the building under the big sycamore tree. Please stop by as you leave the rink. See you then.
