Sponsor Book: Yes, the deadline of September 30th has a fudge factor. However, the longer we permit last minute submissions, the longer it will take to get the books back from the printer and ready for distribution. Let me make you this suggestion, if your completed ad copy and payment is not received by Julie by 5:00 PM on Friday, October 8th, it will not be in this year's book. The final list will be posted on the website by Noon Saturday.

C Team News: Practice Game vs. Fox on Friday, 10/1 at Fenton (this Friday.) Arrive per normal practice time. We will have a short workout and game time will be 4:30 PM for a one hour game. Each player needs to bring a dark and white (light) jersey to wear for the game (we do not have enough jerseys to loan for this.) We will need a parent to help keep score or run the clock. All players on the C Team roster are expected to attend. You will be notified accordingly in the event of a cancellation.

Time to turn our focus to:

1. Sponsor Book closes September 30th. Please visit the News section (or News tab) of the website and see "Sponsor Book." You will find all the information you need to support this fundraiser. We are running behind last year, but we anticipate a strong finish. Reminder, each family is required to sell $100 worth of ads or buyout is available.

2. Texas Hold'Em is Saturday, October 9th. We need players. See webiste for other ways you can help. 

3. Spirit Wear details to be announced next week.

Sorry about the confusion on the white T-shirts, the balance will be handed out at practices this week.

Change in parade attire: Each player is requested to bring their (clean) home and away jerseys...gold and black...to the parade on Saturday. We would like to loan a jersey to each of our new players, so we can ALL wear hockey jerseys, thank you.

Parade Candy: Not going too well. Please bring to practice this week so we can have everything prepared for Saturday. As a last resort, your player may bring his/her candy with them on Saturday to hand out. They might want to put it in a sack or bucket to make easy disbursement.

Parade Float: Some assembly required on Thurs, 9/9, 7:00 PM at 16261 Westwoods Business Park, Ellisville (Mark Holder's warehouse.) We will send a separate email to those of you that signed up at the parent's meeting. Anyone else wanting to help, please contact Cindy Janssen at cindyjan2003@aol.com or 314-393-8482.

Marquette Tournament Note: The Marquette/Lafayette game is scheduled for 7:20 PM on Friday, right before our game. Parking will be a premium. Players that will be driving are suggested to arrive around 7:00 PM to secure parking and maybe watch that game.

Greetings Eureka Hockey Players & Parents,

As you know, we are in the Eureka Days Parade on September 11. We would like each family to donate a bag of candy to hand out to people along the parade route. You know, some hard candy, tootsie rolls, "dum dums," etc. In the next couple weeks of practice, please bring this bag of candy to Fenton Rink and give to Ken or Cindy Janssen or Kim Wamboldt or Sam Boyer or Melissa Corbett. Thanks. P.S. We have a special guest joining us.

With the new birth year alignment, we are dealing with team placement and still waiting for some clarification from Mid States before we can finalize rosters. When we hear, you will hear. In the meantime, we have plenty of ice and the assignments are listed below. Please note UPDATED JV Practice Roster as posted in "JV News" section on the website.

We will still be doing a combined JV/C Team practice this week as we sort some things out with Mid States. See practice assignments below and on the website. Website 101: You may also click on the event (practice, etc) in the "mini-schedule" in the left hand column for additional details and maps or on the "Schedule" tab. Also, check News articles for each team.

Now would be a very good time to add your respective coaches' name(s), email addresses, phone numbers to your computer, your phone, your smart phone, your address book...you get the drill.

Subject: Eureka Hockey week of 8/9

Greetings All,

Here we go, hockey season is upon us. This is the first installment in a series of weekly emails to be delivered every Monday. These emails will then be posted to the Bulletin Board.


First off, a word on dryland training. Our current plans are for a very short workout ending by 9:45 PM in the parking lot on Monday and Wednesday (after 7:50 ice time.) On Tuesday and Thursday (after 6:40 ice time), we will caravan to Fenton Park and workout from 8:15 - 9:15 PM. We are aware of posted heat warnings through 8/12. It is HIGHLY recommended that each of you send a water bottle with your player. We will have additional fluids available. Rest assured, Coach Payton is a personal trainer and is well versed in handling the workouts. If we feel it is best to cancel, we will. The health and well being of your child will come first.

Reminder, first league fee of $450 (includes warm-up suit) is due on August 15th, Payable to Eureka Wildcat Hockey and send to Kim Wamboldt, include player name and payment description in memo line.

Also, each and every returning player is required to purchase ($22) a new set of stockings (purple and black), Payable to Eureka Wildcat Hockey and send to Kim Wamboldt, include player name and payment description in memo line.

Save the Date: Eureka Hockey Texas Hold'em on Saturday, October 9th. Final information in a separate email and posted to website later this week. Need a couple additional committee members, let me know.
