Coach Tuckers Corner

Kevin TuckerKevin Tucker - Varsity Football Head Coach

Dear Knight Supporters and Knight Nation!

WOW!  What a season!  The 2015 Thomas Dale Varsity Knights saw a return to the VHSL 6A playoffs, making it all the way to the STATE SEMI-FINALS!  Without the support and generosity of individuals like you, it would never have been possible.  I watched these young boys grow into young men and how they went from being just teammates... to ultimately become a FAMILY.

On behalf of the Thomas Dale Football staff I would like to take this opportunity also to welcome you to the Knights 2016 season.  The 2016 season is already well underway and we are busting our butts in the weightroom and getting ready for several 7 on 7 tournaments, lineman camps and team camps.  We believe this year will be an even more exciting one! Our coaches as well as our players have worked extremely hard during the offseason to instill Pride in our Thomas Dale Knights. Our "Pride is Back"  motto continues and is one that our players and staff have embraced!

If you would like to join with us in our efforts and help send these Knights to camps, please contact me at kevin_tucker@ccpsnet.net.  Your support is always appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you.

As a coaching staff, we want to be role models for our student athletes. We want our players to look to us for leadership, guidance, and instruction. Our goal is to teach and instill: honor, perseverance, self-respect, discipline, teamwork, and respect on and off the field.

We understand that Success at the high school level has more to do with preparing students for their lives after sports than the number of victories or championships. Their sports experiences are intended to complement, to support and add to the learning they are experiencing here at Thomas Dale. I believe that Football can help to shape these young men into men of integrity, character and future leaders of our communities.

We will do our best to develop our Student Athletes to help them reach their full potential both in the classroom and on the field, teaching them life skills that will help them become personally successful and socially responsible.

Thank you for your continued support

Kevin Tucker
